Supreme Instruments Radio Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Signal Generators Supreme manufactured several types of radio repair bench test equipment. Here are some of Supreme's audio frequency (AF) and radio frequency (RF) generators, analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and other Supreme test equipment designed for the radio work bench in my collection. Supreme 189 Signal Generator This Supreme model 189 Portable Signal Generator has an RF output with internal and external modulation and a 400 Hz audio output. The bakelite front panel has an airplane type dial. The oak case measures 11"x8½"x5¼" and the 189 weighs in at a heafty 8½ pounds for its size. Larger Picture Catalog Listing Manual and Schematic Supreme 189 Signal Generator (Laboratory Cabinet) This is the 189 Signal Generator above in a Bench/Laboratory cabinet. The cabinet has a storage compartment in the back for the power cord and output signal cord. Larger Picture Catalog Listing Manual and Schematic Supreme 520 AC Bridge This Supreme model 520 AC Bridge was designed for the radio workbench and for laboratory use. It is shown as a panel that could be built into a workbench. All markings on front of the 520 are etched in brass. I have no information on this model and it is not listed in any of the catalogs I currently have in my collection. It has several ranges for testing resistors and condensers (capacitors). It has an eye tube for visual indication and a NE-45 neon lamp for leakage indication. The face measures 8½"x11" Larger Picture Supreme 535 Oscilloscope This is an early Supreme model 535 2" Cathod-Ray Oscilloscope. It's dove-tail wood case measures 0nly 12"x8"x8" Larger Picture Top and Back Schematic 535 Graticle Scan Catalog Description Supreme 549 Oscilloscope This Supreme model 549 3" Cathod-Ray Oscilloscope boasts both a vertical and horizontal amplifier. The dove-tail wood case measures 11½"x7¼"x13½" Larger Picture Supreme 562 Audolyzer The Supreme 562 Audolyzer is a bench RF and audio signal tracer/meter, ohm meter, and Vacuum Tube Voltmeter (VTVM). Wood case 15½"x11¾"x9". A later 562 version in a metal case with a black face was also produced. Larger Picture Schematic Operating Manual Supreme 563 Audio Oscillator The Supreme model 563 is a bench audio generator in a metal case. 13¼"x8¾"x6½" Larger Picture Inside Picture Supreme 570 Signal Generator This Supreme model 570 Signal Generator has a RF output with internal and external modulation and a 400 Hz audio output. All markings on front panel of the 570 are beautifully etched in brass. The wood case measures 11¾"x8¾"x5½" Larger Picture 1938 Catalog Description 37-39 Catalog Listing Supreme 575 Decade Box This Supreme model 575 Decade Box was designed for the radio experimenter and laboratory use. It allows selection of both resistance and capacitance. It was offered in a portable wood case and as a panel (shown) that could be built into a workbench. All markings on front of the 575 are etched in brass. The face measures 9"x12½" Larger Picture 1938 Catalog Description Supreme 581 Signal Generator This Supreme model 581 Signal Generator has a RF and audio output with internal modulation and a sweepable audio output. All markings on the brass front panel of the 581 are beautifully etched in an Art Deco pattern. The dove-tail wood case measures 15½"x11¼"x7¼" Larger Picture Model 661 Signal Generator Supreme Model 661 AF/RF Signal Generator Smaller bench size Supreme Instruments Model 661 Signal Generator. Three tube with adjustable Audio and RF outputs. RF: 65 kilocycles-20.5 megacycles Metal case 8¾"x9½"x7" Larger Picture Manual and Schematic Model 666 Signal Generator Supreme Model 666 AF/RF Signal Generator This Supreme Instruments Model 666 Signal Generator has adjustable Audio and RF outputs and very smooth working controls. Audio: 15-15,000 cycles RF: 65 kilocycles-20.5 megacycles This one looks and works like it's right off the Supreme assembly line in Greenwood Mississippi. At 15½"x11½"x8¾", and 35 pounds it's definitely in the boat anchor class. Larger Picture Operating Manual Schematic Supreme also manufactured portable "Radio Diagnometers" which contained RF Signal Generators along with other test functions.
